We’ve all had our fair share of crap clients.
You know, the one that you dread answering the phone to, the one that wants everything for nothing and wants it delivering immediately.
The one that can’t be bothered or is incapable of actually communicating what it is they are looking for (it’s called a brief…)
The one that changes/amends/tweaks your ‘perfect’ campaign concept or piece of design until nothing remains of your carefully crafted creation…
Indeed, I’m sure we can all relate to these clients.
So, just think how wonderful it is when you just drop on. When you bag that dream client…
- They just ‘get it’ every time
- They acknowledge that you’ve been doing this a while so are probably well-placed to advise the best approach to a requirement/project
- They are happy for you to push the boundaries and always willing to consider your proposals
- They don’t feel the need to tweak things for the sake of it – in fact they think what you’ve done is bob-on, first time (9 times out of 10)
- They are a pleasure to deal with, good craic on the old email and like to have a normal chat on the blower
- They pay. (and on-time too)
But does this client exist I hear you cry?
We think so.
Please share your best and worst client stories (no names though please) in the comments below…
